Recently, a journalist asked House Speaker Boehner how he can say that tax cuts help when we see the economy is in the dumps despite the Bush Tax Rates?
The answer is, that a Wall Mart location that has thugs at the door and water dripping in at a few places, will not have much sales regardless how low the prices are.
Having low prices (low tax rates) is indeed a good thing with a net gain, as we see WM earning BIG despite the low prices. But destroying the housing market by forcing banks to make stupid loans, and destroying the dollar by annual trillion dollar deficits which in turn push up inflation, we will indeed have a tough time getting the sales (economy) going again.
