While eliminating Al Qaeda mouth piece Anwar al-Awlaki is good news for the USA, it will not pay a dime of dividends for President Obama.
A) OBL was killed May 1’st and I doubt one would notice it in the President’s current polls.
B) People care more and most about the economy. The only way national security will replace economic issues as the main concern for voters in 2012, would be if the USA comes under (repeated) terror attacks in the next twelve months. God forbid that happens, few would think Obama is doing a good job in the War on Terror.
C) Funny. Obama’s Department of Justice is/was investigating the CIA for waterboarding foreign-born nationals, but here the Obama administration killed without a day in court an American… Cheney must be happy.
