It was a mere two weeks ago that a few national polls gave Herman Cain 24-30 percent support among national Republicans. Those surveys gave Cain an average of 26% support according to the math put together by Real Clear Politics.
That was then. At this time however, Cain’s average is 22%, and Mitt Romney has 22.5% support. This average does not include (yet) an Economist/YouGov Poll which gives Cain 21% backing.
At the current time, Newt Gingrich is third in line according to the RCP average with 14.2%; Rick Perry is at 9.8%; Ron Paul at 8.2%, and Bachmann has 3.7% support.
