At Facebook HQ, Christie Discusses Education, GOP 2012 Chances

Science and math teachers should be paid more than gym teachers, Gov. Chris Christie told a national audience today during a live online chat on Facebook. “You have to pay them more than we pay the gym teacher. I’mnsorry, in today’s society they’re more valuable,” he said.

In an interview also touching on taxes, and his decision not to run for president, Christie spoke about reforming education in New Jersey — “if I’m able to get it done” — as the “most important thing I’ll do as governor.”

Christie also cautioned Republicans not to underestimate President Obama in next year’s election, referring to him as a “formidable” candidate. “Anyone who underestimates the president underestimates at
their own peril,” Christie said. “(Democrats) know how to campaign, they know politics. … People who believe he’s a shoo-in loser are wrong.”

To teach kids to play games? Yeah, umm… you’re pretty much not needed at all and should be grateful that someone is willing to pay you to come to work in sweatpants with a whistle around your next.

Now shut up and let the real scientists do their work.

Whoa whoa whoa! Robert has a point. The human body is a science. I don’t know what kind of education you received, but when I was in middle school and high school, I learned all about the human body and how it works. PE isn’t all about games. It’s about teaching people about how to be healthy and how to have fun doing it. It’s about the importance of passing this information a long so we don’t end up in a world like Wall-E (the Disney movie).

Now, I cannot speak for 100% of the country, but my physical education was science and physical exercise combined. It taught me a lot.

If only Oh Bama! had danced with the people that had put him there — 70% of whom support single-pay. But, what choice? Oh Bama!, likely to go down as the most disappointing president, or, the shallow vanity of a weather cock like Mit Romney. Or, worse.
