ABC News reports that in the final three weeks leading up to the Iowa caucuses, Rick Perry will crisscross the state in a bus, hitting 42 different cities, even visiting two twice over the two-week period.
The 14-day bus tour kicks off in Council Bluffs on Dec 14 and runs through New Year’s Eve in Des Moines, with a four-day break over the Christmas holidays.
Earlier today, Perry announced that he “respectfully declined” the invitation to participate in the NewsMax debate moderated by Donald Trump because of the need to engage in “traditional retail campaigning in the days and weeks leading up to the Iowa caucus.”
Perry has made nine trips to the Hawkeye State since he entered the presidential race in August. His trip to Iowa this upcoming weekend marks his 10th trip.
