Flashback: Panetta Wins $10,000 Bet Over OBL

Mitt Romney is attacked as being out of touch for suggesting that he is ready to take $10,000 from Rick Perry over the issue of health care mandates. But apparently, in the big world, this is the norm: In late October, AFP reported that Defense secretary Leon Panetta won a bet he made almost a year earlier when he was still CIA Director, namely, that he will get Osama Bin Ladin. The bet was on an old bottle of wine valued at $10,000 in the retail market.

    Good thing Panetta is not running for POTUS because then he would have a really tough time relating to voters just like Mitt has. Also interesting is Mitt’s Jewish supports like you and Kornblough comparing Mitt to Panetta when Leon just blasted Israel. I think you guys should just concede that Mitt screwed up and that he can’t relate to Iowans and that he should just get back to campaigning with his fellow lakefront house owners in New Hampshire. Mitt is not a safe candidate to back, he will embarrass you again just like he did here with a $10,000 bet which he would have lost had Perry accepted. Mitt should hand over the money because he clearly lost!
