Republican presidential contender Ron Paul predicted on Sunday that he’d place first or second in the Iowa caucuses on Tuesday.
“I may come in first. I may come in second. I doubt if I’ll come in third or fourth,” the Texas congressman said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I would say the people are with me on this, and the momentum is going to continue regardless of what happens and what place I am Tuesday night.”

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who sunk to last place in the most recent Iowa presidential polls, said on Sunday that a “miracle” might take place in the caucuses Tuesday.
“Polls … sometimes belie the truth on the ground, and that’s what we see,” Bachmann said on ABC’s “This Week” “This isn’t just about polling. This is about what we’re seeing in reality, and I think Tuesday night people are going to see a miracle.”
