The Israeli political street was up in arms two years ago when a group of 54 House members signed a harsh letter to President Obama asking him to pressure Israel to ease the conditions in Gaza.
Congressman Maurice Hinchey, retiring now due to Cancer, was one of four in the NY delegation to sign the letter. One signer from New York, Eric Massa, resigned in scandal a while ago.
