In 2011, GOP12 Field Raised More from Small Donors than What Obama Raised from Large Donors

report from the Campaign Finance Institute finds that more than half of the contributions made to President Obama’s reelection effort $200 or above, which is outside the so-called ”small donor” base which is contributions of $200 or less.

The president raised in 2011 more than $33 million from donors who gave $1,000 or more, while the Republican field raised more than $38 million from donors who gave $200 or less.
