A report from the Campaign Finance Institute finds that more than half of the contributions made to President Obama’s reelection effort $200 or above, which is outside the so-called ”small donor” base which is contributions of $200 or less.
The president raised in 2011 more than $33 million from donors who gave $1,000 or more, while the Republican field raised more than $38 million from donors who gave $200 or less.
