A Broken Tape Recorder…

How many more times will Liberal writers and others claim that Bill Clinton came into office amid a recession, when…

When in fact the economy was out of recession (by March of 1991) before Clinton even announced he will run…

When in fact the Unemployment Rate was heading downward (in the 7.5% range) afew months before Clinton even won the election…

When in fact the six-month average for job growth during the second half of ’92 was monthly 100,000 jobs and that is before Clinton was even sworn into office…

I feel like a broken tape recorder needing to make this point so often.

Stimulus Money Paid Off Clinton Campaign Debt

As you know, Mark Penn’s firm received $5.9 million Stimulus money for doing PR work on the Stimulus bill.

Sounds clean. Right? Well no. Penn was for a while the lead PR guy for Secretary of State Clinton’s presidential campaign, but a bill totaling $5.4 million was never paid to him. Until of course, Penn’s firm got approximately the same amount for doing “P.R. work” on the stimulus.

The cronyism of the Bush team could not have gone away faster. Right? The good news is that the Penn pay of $5.9 officially saved 3 jobs at Penn’s firm. Now I really feel good.
