Memo from Obama Campaign to Black Surrogates: Shut Up!

Jersey City Mayor Cory Booker, an African American, attacked president Obama’s campaign Sunday for criticizing Mitt Romney’s record at Bain. Within hours, Booker walked it back after lead people in the Obama Campaign ripped him for not toeing the Party Line.

After seeing that disagreeing with Obama in public did not work for Booker, Congressmen James Clyburn an African American and the number three House Democrat, went fully the other way saying that Bain was “raping companies” to earn a profit. Within hours, the Obama campaign said the statement was “inappropriate.”

In other words, the overwhelmingly White team of Democrats at Obama’s HQ is signaling to Black lawmakers that they should just shut up! Whether you want to back Obama, whether you want to show some independence, you should hold your should just shut the hell up!

CTSen Exclusive: Lumaj to Drop Out, Endorse Later This Week

Peter Lumaj, one of the Republicans running for a U.S. Senate seat in Connecticut, plans on dropping out of the race later this week after failing to win the minimum 15% support from GOP Convention delegates last Friday Night. Securing the fifteen percent would mean a slot on the Primary Ballot without needing to collect 10K petitions.

Sources familiar with the plans tell Gestetner Updates that the candidate will likely make an endorsement before the weekend. Whether he will support Chris Shays or Linda McMahon  for the August GOP Primary, is anyone’s guess.

The contest is for the seat being vacated by Joseph Lieberman.

CT – Brian K. Hill to Decide Next Step As Shays Files Papers to Force McMahon into CTSen Primary

The GOP Party in Connecticut held its convention days ago where 60% delegates voted for Linda McMahon while 32% voted for Chris Shays. This means both will automatically appear on the Primary Ballot by simply filing some papers. However, because the other candidates didn’t receive the minimum 15% delegates, their option is to petition their way on to the ballot. Read more »

VIDEO: Romney Camp Uses Obama’s GM Restructuring to Counter Bain Attacks

Romney’s Senior Strategist explains why Bain cutting jobs and benefits is actually a good thing: “Look, sometimes when companies are in trouble, they require corrective measures. let’s take an example – like general motors when the obama administration was running general motors, they shut down plants they closed dealerships. they laid off employees. they had to change benefits forever workers to make them less costly. that’s the nature of free enterprise. today, general motors is a profitable company because of the steps that were taken to bring their costs in alignment with their revenues.” – MSNBC Transcript

Assemblyman Hikind, Mrs. Ostreicher Meet with Federal Lawmakers to Advocate for Jacob

A few weeks ago, NY Assemblyman Dov Hikind helped to rally hundreds of people in Manhattan to support Jacob Ostreicher, the Jewish American arrested in Bolivia since last year early June. In recent days, Hikind is pushing the cylinders of elected officials in the Federal Government to do all they can to help the Brooklyn native.

On early Sunday morning, Mr. Hikind and Miriam Ostreicher, the wife of Jacob, met with New York U.S. Senator Gillibrand who days earlier penned a letter to the top Bolivian representative in the United States on behalf of Ostreicher. Read more »

NAACP MAKING OBAMA KOSHER AGAIN AMONG AFRICAN AMERICANS

Huge majorities in the African American communities are opposed to SSM. But don’t worry Mr. President. The shameless political hacks at the NAACP have your back. Its board of directors is out to take a stand which goes against the convictions of most of their members just to make sure that those in the African American community who may have had reservations about you following your SSM support, will come back and swing again behind you. Dont take my ‘”racist” words for it. Read the Lib WashPost Reports: NAACP endorses same-sex marriage as a ‘Civil Right.’ Writes the Post: The decision has political implications for President Obama, who needs an enthusiastic turnout from black voters to help him win reelection in November but angered some African-American church pastors with his announcement this month that he believes gays and lesbians should have the right to marry.

AJC to House of Commons Committee: Time Running Out on Iran

Denial Schwammenthal  of the AJC told a Committee of the House of Commons that Tehran recently announced plans to increase its production at Fordow and Natanz, and will thus soon be able to churn out 15 kg of 20% enriched uranium per month. Since weapons grade uranium requires enrichment to 90%, there is a common misperception that Iran still has a long way to go. But as Olli Heinonen, the former Finish deputy director general of the IAEA, has repeatedly pointed out, mastering 3.5% enrichment is 70% of the enrichment effort required for an atomic weapon. With 20% enriched uranium, you are 90% there. Iran would probably need 3-12 months to produce one bomb’s worth of weapons grade material from its 3.5% stockpile. Once they have enough 20% enriched uranium, Tehran could get there in about six weeks.

In Exclusive Friday Interview, Dan Halloran Sees Lancman as Toughest Opponent in NY6

Hours before NYC Councilman Dan Halloran released to the public that he will undergo surgery for a tumor, he kept his schedule for an exclusive interview with GestetnerUpdates.Com to discuss his run for New York’s Sixth Congressional District on the GOP and Conservative lines.

The race has generated a lot of public interest due to the three-way Primary on the Democratic side and the huge number of Jewish voters in the district. “All three of the major Democrats running, says Halloran, are in-line Obama Democrats. They have not bumped their party. They have followed down the line on all the issues that are important to the Communities.” Read more »

READ Velazquez Letter: Bolivia ‘Harming its Reputation in the US and Throughout the World’

The letter regarding Jacob Ostreicher is dated for today May 17 and directed to the lead Bolivian representative in Washington. Brooklyn – Regarding My Media Work Last Night at the Weberman Event [Video]

A nationally-recognised gossip website popular among detractors of the low-crime rate Orthodox Jewish Community, suggests this morning that I misled the public as to what my role was at the event held last night in Williamsburg Brooklyn on behalf of a Mr. Weberman who was arrested fifteen months ago and is out on bail while still awaiting trial. The Editor writes “Orthodox PR flack Yossi Gestetner, [is] presented as a supporter of Weberman’s but almost certainly an undeclared paid spokesman for a group that is defending him.”

Following is the full statement that I submitted this morning to the Editor of that website clarifying my work last night: Read more »

For the Dow, ‘Recovery’ 2012 is Similar to Recession 2008

Excluding today’s numbers, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up only 1.89% for all of 2012. compare this to the same time in 2008, the Dow was down only 2.1%. It’s hard to argue that he first half of 2008 was the “end of the world” and 2012 is the third year into a recovery, when a swing of less than four percent separates the two years for the Dow. Have also in mind that in 2011, the Dow was up only 5.5% versus a 6.4% gain in 2007.

Oil Slips Below $91.90 as DXY Rises to 81.57

Yes, when the Dollar Index (DXY) rises, oil prices tend to drift lower since oil is traded on the Greenback, and the more value a dollar buys around the globe, the less there is a need to charge for commodities. Add this to the ongoing growth concerns out of China; the mess in Europe, and the price of oil takes a hit: As of 3:30 AM in NY, oil in electronic trading slipped under $92 a barrel. It was at $105 a mere three weeks ago.

Monsey, NY – Voter Intimidation Planned by Union-Backed Tax-Hiking Environmentalists in Tuesday’s Elections

Participants at a Monday evening meeting of Preserve Ramapo followers, Union activists, and rabble rousers in the East Ramapo Central School District, plotted a major Voter Intimidation campaign against Jewish voters during Tuesday’s School Board/Budget elections.

The above forces registered a countless amount of people as “Poll Watchers,” placing them next to voters with a “right” to raise objections to any person’s vote. Such votes may need to be placed “aside” until the dispute is settled. During the 2011 School Vote, poll watchers demanded that women with strollers or fathers with younger children should stay outside the voting buildings with the excuse that it’s not legal to enter. As a result, dozens of Jews were disenfranchised from voting. Read more »

After Leading 39-0 a Month Ago Among Jewish Voters, Turner Now Tied at 16% in Senate Primary

In the Siena Poll a month ago, Congressman Bob Turner had the support of 39% Jewish voters in his three-way Republican U.S. Senate fight in New York. His two opponents had literally zero support among this politically-involved class. A month later, the numbers changed dramatically: Turned crashed from 39% to 16%, while one opponent, Attorney Wendy Long who also has the Conservative line, went up from zero to sixteen among Jewish Voters. The other candidate is still at zero.
